The Cattle Operation:

Simmental & Commercial Excellence

Our cattle program is the heart of Horner Cattle Company. We manage a robust herd, focusing on both genetic excellence and commercial efficiency.

Purebred Simmental:

We proudly maintain a select herd of purebred Simmental cattle. Known for their superior growth, maternal traits, and carcass quality, our Simmental genetics are rigorously selected to perform both in the pasture and on the rail, offering our customers proven performance and reliability.

Commercial Cow Herd:

Our 450-head commercial cow operation utilizes the strengths of the Simmental breed to produce vigorous, profitable calves. We emphasize longevity, efficiency, and adaptability in our commercial herd, ensuring a resilient and productive system.

Diversified Farming:

To complement our livestock business and support a sustainable rotation, we actively farm 2,500 acres of productive grain land. This diversification provides economic stability and allows us to manage our resources responsibly, integrating our cattle and grain operations for maximum efficiency and environmental health.
